Notice of Terms of Service Update
- Terms revision date
- 2026-09-04
- Notice from
- 2026-08-05
- Existing-member effective date
- 1 month after in-app consent
Why we are changing the Terms
10 provisions are being revised or added to disclose our AI-based service, clarify user-safety procedures, adjust the nature of the service and scope of liability, and establish member-specific application procedures. Because some changes may be unfavorable to members, this notice is posted on the website 30 days before the revision date and will also be provided in the app.
When it applies
Existing members will be shown the changes and asked for explicit consent in the app. The amended Terms will apply to each existing member one month after that member consents; until then, the previous Terms remain in effect. A failure to respond to the consent request will not be treated as consent. The in-app consent process will show both the consent date and the scheduled effective date.
Before / after comparison
| Clause | Before | After | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| Art. 3(3)–(6) Amendment procedure | Non-objection before a fixed effective date was deemed consent, and the amended Terms applied to all members at once. | Existing members are asked for explicit in-app consent; no response is not consent. The amended Terms take effect for each member one month after consent, with the previous Terms remaining in force until then. General notice is provided on the website and initial app screen. | Clarify member-specific consent and effective timing, and align the notice method. |
| Art. 2(1) Definitions | Used counseling wording such as “emotional care counseling”. | Changed to “emotional conversation support”, clarifying that feature names such as “AI counselor” are not professional mental-health or medical services. | Prevent misunderstanding of the service’s nature. |
| Art. 9(2) Member obligations | Only general prohibited conduct was listed. | Added prohibitions on use intended to harm life or body, and on attempts to bypass AI safeguards. | Ensure user safety. |
| Art. 9-2 (new) Crisis guidance | No such clause. | Provides crisis lines (e.g. 109 in Korea). Crisis detection and response is the Company’s right and measure, not a continuous monitoring duty; minimum information may be shared with authorities in emergencies. | Clarify crisis-response procedures. |
| Art. 10-2 (new) AI service notice | No such clause. | States that content is produced by generative AI and discloses its limitations. | Comply with AI disclosure expectations. |
| Art. 12-2 (new) Nature of service | No such clause. | Defines the service as reference/cultural content. Confident AI phrasing does not guarantee accuracy, and deletion requests may take up to 24 hours to take effect. | Align user expectations. |
| Art. 13(2) Licenses | Silent on personal data handling and license termination. | Personal data is handled per the Privacy Policy, and licenses terminate upon data deletion or withdrawal. | Clarify when rights end. |
| Art. 16(1) Use restrictions | Unclear treatment of held items upon sanction. | Free items are forfeited upon restriction; paid and subscription items follow the refund policy. | Clarify refund treatment. |
| Art. 19(6) Content nature | Silent on mental-health limitations. | States that content is not psychological or mental-health advice and cannot replace professional counseling. | Prevent misuse and over-reliance. |
| Art. 19(9) & 26(3) Liability | “No liability whatsoever” for disputes (full waiver). | No liability, except where the Company acted with intent or negligence. | Removes an unenforceable blanket waiver (favorable to members). |
